TYPEWRITER

VOTED

HORSE-OF-THE-YEAR 2014

 

After the votes were tallied, the 6-Y-O Bay horse TYPEWRITER (Western Classic- Doc's Paladin by Boundary) who won the Superstakes (GR.I) for the second consecutive year was voted Horse-of-the-Year 2014.

 

POTCHEEN and PERFECT NEIGHBOUR were also voted first and second runner up respectively, to the Horse-of-the-Year.

 

TYPEWRITER who won four (4) races from 9 starts during the 2014 racing season was also voted Champion 4-y-o and up, Stayer, and Local Bred.

 

POTCHEEN first runner up to the Horse-of-the-Year was voted Champion Sprinter and Middle Distance performer.

 

Derby hero RELAMPAGO was voted Champion 3-Y-O overall.

 

The 2-Y-O Chestnut Colt ALACRANN was voted Champion 2-Y-O overall.

 

The Champion Imported honours went to PETE'SWILDONE.

 

The Most Improved Trainer was RYAN DARBY while Champion Apprentice Jockey O'BRIEN WHITE was also voted Most Improved Rider.

 

Twelve of the 15 Committee members submitted votes.
