LIMITED TO INTRODUCE NEW METHOD FOR
CALCULATION OF THE PLACE POOL
Caymanas Track Limited
in an effort to upgrade and streamline its operations will be
introducing a new method for calculation of the place pool.
Currently the place pool is calculated using the English system whereby
after the deduction of the promoters percentage from the place pool, the
remaining amount is shared equally and allotted to each of the three
placed horses and that amount is then divided by the amount wagered on
each horse to arrive at the payment.
The company will however be introducing the calculation of the place
pool using the North American system whereby after the deduction of the
promoters percentage from the place pool a further deduction of the
amount wagered on each of the three placed horses will be done. The
remaining amount will then be shared equally and allotted to each of the
three placed horses after which the unit price of the wager will then be
added back to that figure to be calculated to arrive at the payment.
Due to the new method of calculation the place pool odds can no longer
be displayed as this is not possible when using the North American
system to arrive at the payments.
Caymanas Track Limited will be implementing this new form of calculating
place pool payments on Monday August 16, 2010.
