AMAlGAmateD (DISTRIBUTORS) LIMITED
THE 2009 Superstakes day sponsored by Amalgamated Distributors Limited was launched at the Hilton Kingston on Thursday, October 29, 2009. The raceday is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Caymanas Park.
Mr. Marcos Dabdoub (Managing Director) spoke on behalf of the sponsor Amalgamated Distributors Limited, while Mr. Gifford Williams (Sales Director) and Mr. Owen Streete (Financial Controller) gave an overview of the Brands. Mr. Denzil Miller Jr. (Racing Secretary) gave the raceday details and Mr. Christopher Armond (Director, Chairman CTL's Advisory Committee) gave the closing remarks on behalf of the promoter, Caymanas Track Limited.
SUPER DAY 2009 will be sponsored by AMALGAMATED DISTRIBUTORS LIMITED on Saturday, November 14, 2009.
AMALGAMATED DISTRIBUTORS LIMITED SUPERSTAKES DAY 2009 sponsorship is valued at $3.7M to purses. The highly anticipated race meeting will offer 12 exciting races inclusive of four Graded races and a Purse Package of over $17.7 million.
The Graded races are:

3. The 21st running of THE ADL"TETLEY" CARIBBEAN SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP (GR I) a weight for age race for NB 3-Y-O and Up over 1200m for a purse of $2.7M inclusive of $750,000 from the sponsor AMALGAMATED DISTRIBUTORS LIMITED. (4-Y-O and Up 57kg; 3-Y-O 55kg F&M allowed 2kg). The Top Contenders are AHWHOFAH, WORKING IMAGE, MEDICAL REPORT, ROMEZ, STEEL DE CAT, BEAUTIFUL SPACE, THE CHIEF, MINISTER OF JUSTICE, THE GUARDIAN,WHEEL N' DEAL,PAGEE PRINCESS.
4. The 31st running of THE ADL "BLANCA NIEVES" SUPERSTAKES (GR.I) a weight for age race (for NB 3-Y-O and Up over 2000m for a purse of $6M inclusive of $1.5M from the sponsor AMALGAMATED DISTRIBUTORS LIMITED. (4-Y-O and Up 57kg; 3-Y-O 54kg F&M allowed 2kg). The Top Contenders are:
AD INFINTUM - Won the Governor Generals' Stakes for the second year in a row and will make a brave bid to retain his superstar status.
HE'S REALLY OK - 2009 Derby Hero and winner of the Prime Ministers Stakes.
SAINT CECELIA - 1000 Guineas and Oaks Heroine.
REGAL SELECTION - Winner of four races (7 ½, 8, 9 and 11F). This season including the Fan Appreciation Trophy and The Kings Plate.
ALSAFRA - Reigning Horse-of- the-year.
